All about LOVE!

It has been a wonderful month off from the store, celebrating Christmas, the New Year then now, Chinese New Year. From the turkeys to the presents. To the lovely homemade repertoire from aunts and grandmas alike, to the mouthwatering baked goods (personal favourite: Kuih Karpet aka Love Letters) that seems to be a regular fixture in every household, it has truly been a wonderful occasion for all! Dancing in the moonlight!
The Replacement Killer...Pens!
FriXion Ball: Write, Delete, Repeat!

We had the FriXion Light in the last time around, and now, FINALLY, we have the Pilot FriXion Eraseable Rollerball in store! This very unique new pen, (at least to us!) erases cleanly by friction-generated heat, leaving no debris. Uses the same ink to write and over-write. Fine 0.7mm tip.
Those clever guys at Pilot's ink labs have come up with a new twist on the perennial search for an effective erasable pen. The ink laid down by the Frixion rollerball disappears under friction! The end of the pen has a hard plastic eraser, which when rubbed over the writing causes the colour to disappear from the ink. You can then write over it again with the same pen.
How does it work? Metamocolor technology! 'Metamocolor' is a word entirely made up by Pilot marketing people, but basically it's a type of thermo-reactive ink. The heat generated by the friction causes the ink to become translucent (at 65°C fact-hounds!). Stick it in the freezer (-20°C) and your scribblings will re-appear - albeit slightly faded. Ideal for secret messages and a lot easier than that old lemon juice and candle flames malarkey.

Pilot's new Frixion erasable rollerball is definitely a step ahead of the competition thanks to clever ink which turns transparent when subjected to friction. No eraser dust, and the line disappears very cleanly leaving only a faint impression of the erased line. The ideal way to erase is using the built-in eraser, though most hard plastic works OK. In fact if you're working on newsprint (eg. crosswords and Sudoku), the cap-end works better than the eraser as the eraser will smear the newspaper ink. (source Cult Pens)

Something fun to write about...

One frequently asked question @ CzipLee is: - What is a good pencil to start with for my child?
As a kid, I too face a bit of a problem finding good pencils or colour pencils when I write or colour. There have always been jumbo crayons, chalks etc and well I know that there are Jumbo size stationery in parts of the world but let's say, it never really got here till recently.
The problem with the normal ones were that though my hands are small, the pencils seem harder to hold on to! There were very limited choices till now. A while back, Stabilo finally brought in this full range of Jumbo Series. Writing is so much easier and more fun now:

I will share with you the full Stabilo Jumbo series in the next few post! technorati tags: learning to write children handwriting del.icio.us tags: learning to write children handwriting keotag tags: learning to write children handwriting Labels: In Store with CzipKid, Jumbo, Stabilo, stationery

Sitting for exams can be nerve wracking-and it is. Even more so, if it requires you to come up with an essay or a thesis within two hours or less, or requires tedious calculations. Nevertheless, here's a quick answer to stressful times. Nope, it's not that exams are forever banished, I wish so too! =)
Stabilo, has cleverly come up with a pen, that can actually TELL YOU the "health status" of your pen. Introducing the Stabilo Exam Pen; part of the ever growing Stabilo Exam Grade family!
As seen on TV, the Exam pen comes with a that tells you the writing length of the ballpoint pen. This writing length is derived from Stabilo Internal Testing Standards.
Green indicates that it is all ready and raring to go, with the max of 80 pages for your pen to scribble on. Blue indicates that you have more than enough ink for 65 more pages Orange gives you a balanced reading, with still doing well, and 50 pages available Yellow has you worried with "ink running low" signal, at just 35 pages left And Red with the DANGER sign is the time to change signal!!
Available in blue and black, the pen writes really smooth and has really good qualities! Definitely makings of a great pen! Not just for exams but for everyday use:
Comfortable, smoother, faster and cleaner. Last minute Exam tips!
Well kids, the Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) is next week! To be exact, 3-5 September 2007! After some extensive research (we asked some of you, our customers!) here are 5 before EXAMS dos and don'ts that we've come up with: 1. SLEEP Be sure to get a few good night's sleep! You will need all the energy you can get for the exams!
2. DIET Eat your breakfast! If you already eat breakfast, good for you - don't change a thing. Don't change your diet right before the exams! 3. STRESS It is natural to feel stressed out! Our bodies are conditioned to raise the alarm whenever something important is about to happen. So be aware of whatever stress you are feeling before or during the exams. If you are aware, then you can compensate for it! Spend time relaxing or find someone you can talk to! =) 4. PRACTICE AND REVIEW Be confident as you practice and review everything that you know. Whatever you do, don't cram for the test! Its an absolute NO! 5. ENJOY YOURSELF!
Take time between the papers, do something that will help you take your mind off the exams - if you are well prepared, don't get too stressed about the next day's papers! Enjoy the exams!
Apart from that we've also got some last-minute stationery products that you may need for the exams:
These are specially produced UPSR Exam Kit by Stabilo and the local publisher of the UPSR past year papers, Cerdik. It includes a sample of a UPSR-format exam paper and a set of Stabilo's popular Exam Grade Series Stationery! Available in the Maths and Science subjects only. Its a good last-minute review practice!
