Woodstock – the legendary 3-day music festival

Summer 1969, at a farm near New York, an unexpected half a million of people gathered from all over the USA to witness and create what would be known later as a moment in history. Woodstock was listed amongst Rolling Stone magazine’s 50 moments that changed the history of rock ‘n’ roll. This young generation came from all different backgrounds not only to celebrate music from the greatest musicians of the time, but also to share the same spirit of will of change, community, peace and freedom.

40 years later, the legend of the three-day Woodstock Festival is still shining, and it is still sending out the message of peace and love to the world. Moleskine celebrates the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock Festival with a limited Edition Notebook Collection. The collection includes four large Moleskine Notebooks designed to commemorate the Woodstock Music and Arts Festival using the theme of Peace, Love and Music.

The launch in Hong Kong coincided with the release of the new Ang Lee’s movie “Taking Woodstock”, about the true story of Elliot Tiber, one of the organizers of the Woodstock Festival. Premiering on September 30 in Hong Kong at the Grand Cinema, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the legendary music festival together with Ang Lee’s movie, the VIPs of the premiere was given the Moleskine Woodstock Limited Edition as an homage to the Woodstock spirit shining for 40 years.

VIPs include the oscar-winner director Ang Lee, world renowned actor Tony Leung, Hong Kong trendy and stylish figure Kam Kwok Leung, actress Karena Lam, trendy figures Juno Mak and Josie Ho.

The four Woodstock collectible limited editions all come with different customisations from stickered paper band, postcards, posters etc… For sure this new collection will truly be your inspiration for your daily life as embodied by the sights and sounds of the Woodstock era.

As you may already know, our Comic classes are taught by Chin Yew, of The Boy who Loved Clouds fame. His paintings and books are also available in CzipLee too. We continue part 2 of Comics this weekend and also restart the cycle with Part 1.

And of course,Ming teaches both the Acrylic and Oil classes. Ming keeps a blog and he had just completed a run on the 30dayartist.com

Few things to keep in mind (The Standards):

As we are trying to give you a more personlised experience, places are LIMITED.
If a class quota is not filled, we will reshuffle the classes around to enable full participation!

So we encourage interested customers to visit our store to register for the classes.
Full payment is required as confirmation of your participation your place.

In the event that you are not able to make it for your class, you can either:
- reschedule for another class (subject to class availability)
- get a friend to replace you
- forfeit the entire amount as payment will not be refundable – which we do not encourage!
